Hi everyone, I'm still here, arriving just in time to give you a little Halloween art.

Referenced from here. I'm going through a Teen Wolf obsession and everyone loves Stiles, right? Dylan O'Brien has ridiculous disney princess eyes. On that note, this post in the muddy colors blog has been floating around in my brain ever since I read it and that's probably what got me started on this drawing--not that I really recreated that effect in any way successfully, but it got me thinking a lot about colors.

Anyway, this is me getting back on the wagon after a long hiatus. When I'm not desperately trying to find gainful employment, I'll try and make some stuff.

This was my first time around participating in

spn_j2_bigbang . Every year I'm totally blown away by the amazing art and writing that comes out of this challenge, so I'm really thrilled I finally got up the gumption to participate! I was really lucky in getting

cho_malfoy as a partner (my first choice summary!) as she's been really great to work with. Her story is absolutely brilliant and gave me a ton of inspiring material to work from--actually, I ended up being a leeeetle bit overambitious and didn't really manage everything I had planned.

Thank you also to the mods for their their hard work running this challenge!

Yeah, I had to!
I spent way too long laboring over this, so I decided to just post it and declare it done. The pose gave me a lot of trouble; also, I suck at drawing smiling people.

It's been kind of a busy week; feel like I have a lot on my plate but things are progressing at a snail's pace. I should probs stock up on junk food.

My flat mates and I are working on a fundraiser calendar of studly men, each of us illustrating three months. Screenprinting is the plan. Since I have mounties on the brain, here is Callum Rennie as Ray Kowalski! I always go for the slightly funny-looking ones.

It seems I spoke too soon. I forgot to include a picture of the final outcome, the illustrated book.

A while back I started watching Due South because I'd been hearing a lot of good stuff about it. I skimmed through the early seasons and just finished season four--that has got to be the most perfect ending to a series ever. Not to mention I am totally defenseless against Ray K's glasses. I think I'm in love <3
