That painting has been hanging over my bed pretty much my whole life.  It's a copy of Ammi Phillips' Girl in Red Dress with Cat and Dog that's not very accurate--she's missing the dog, for one--but to me much more dear than the original. I believe it was painted by a friend of my grandma's who didn't want it anymore.  

I took the artistic license of leaving out the numerous spider colonies.
